To ensure a pleasant visit for all, please read the visitor rules before visiting the Museum.
Remember
In order to ensure your visit is as safe and comfortable as possible, the Museo del Prado makes the following visitor guidelines available.
During free admission hours, visitors can access the museum’s collection free of charge, subject to capacity.
To visit the museum as a group, it is necessary to make an advance reservation at least 24 hours in advance (72 hours in the case of private visits from 9:00 to 10:00 am).
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is not permitted to enter the Museum with:
- Scooters or bicycles
- Suitcases or bulky items larger than 40X40 cm
- Animals, except authorised ones
Photography or filming in the galleries is not permitted.
Locker capacity is limited.
